As a conductor, Richard has led the USC Concerto Chamber Orchestra as assistant conductor for two years, and have conducted opera rehearsals, chamber ensembles, gamelan ensembles and more. Richard was also music director of a 2018 production called "The Woman Who Went to Space as a Man" with composer Yuval Ron and theatre director Maureen Huskey, as well as "Don't Tell" directed by Hazel Lozano, both at th Son of Semele Theater in Los Angeles.
Richard is an employee at recording.LA, a recording company servicing the greater Los Angeles area, since 2014. Richard wears many hats for the company, and is involved in recording concerts and sessions, post-production, editing, scheduling and payroll.

Richard freelances engraving, editing, score cleaning and archiving in Los Angeles. His current and prior clients include the USC Thornton Choral and Sacred Music Department, Tim Robbins, and Frederick Lesemann. Richard uses Sibelius 7.5 and Adobe CC Photoshop. Examples availble upon request.
Richard has experience transcribing and arranging music for various ensembles.
On top of teaching taiko for the CalArts Japan Ensemble, Richard teaches piano and music theory in private lessons and classroom settings, and has tutored students at USC as well as a Theory Study Hall at CalArts. References availble upon request.
