RICHARD AN (b.1995) is a composer and performer, born and raised in Los Angeles. Richard has conducted large and small ensembles in concerts and rehearsals all over SoCal.

Richard served the USC Concerto Chamber Orchestra as assistant conductor, leading symphonic and concerto repertoire for two years between 2015-2017. He has conducted orchestras, led opera rehearsals, prepared choirs, and other unclassifiable small and large groups.

Richard was also music director of "The Woman Who Went to Space as a Man" with composer Yuval Ron and theatre director Maureen Huskey, as well as "Don't Tell" directed by Hazel Lozano, both at the Son of Semele Theater in Los Angeles.

Richard has graduated from the California Institute of the Arts Herb Alpert School of Music (MFA Performer-Composer) and the University of Southern California (BM Composition). His primary composition teachers include Andrew McIntosh, Frank Ticheli, and Andrew Norman, and has studied instrumental performance with Vicki Ray, Tim Feeney, and Randy Gloss.
